Players that don't sell in auction vanish

I had several players who didn't receive a bid in auction, and for some reason they totally vanished off my team. I made sure to leave the auto-sell button unchecked, but they still did nonetheless.

Edit: Never mind, found them. Why on earth do the cards "deactivate"

Because all players that get put on auctions are automatically deactivated.
