WHL tiebreaking
Alright, I think this is a "bug" (or maybe just an oversight), but I am playing in the WHL. At the end of the season, my team, Spokane, and the Tri-Cities Americans are tied at 87 points. I ended up second in the division to them.
I looked at http://whl.ca/whl-tiebreaking-procedure and saw that points are the first tiebreaker, but second is victories. I have 43 wins and Tri-Cities has 41. Both my team and Tri-Cities are the only teams in the conference that have 87 points. We are the top two teams. I should be first in the division, and conference, but instead I am second in division. Maybe someone will tell me I am missing something, but it seems like an error. If it is a bug, I can submit it the correct way. Thanks for any assistance. |

I suspect it's probably using the NHL tiebreaking procedure that uses wins first, but only non-shootout wins. I'll check on that and get it changed if it is.
