All Time Dream Team

Hi everyone,

This is my first time playing OOTP ever and my first time posting here. I tried to find my answer as I'm sure it must have been asked but as I couldn't find it and didn't know where else I should be posting I posted here. Apologies in advance if I'm totally n00bing this thing up. While I have seen some posts about how to do what I want with previous versions of OOTP when I attempted to do the same thing it didn't really work out or couldn't work the same as it has. I'm basically tired of doing a lot of work only to find out it's not going to give me the results I am after.

I am currently having a devil of a time trying to setup a league of my own designing. What I am trying to do is assemble a league of essentially all-time dream team versions of the greatest and my favourite players who played for those clubs.

I want to have a custom league with teams of my own choosing while having access to every single real live player that has ever played and be able to set up teams from every player that ever existed. Or is this not feasible in OOTP?

I'm also having trouble finding commissioner mode. As it seems that you can only access it after you set everything up am I correct in thinking that commissioner mode can not be accessed if you use Challenge Mode as well? I'm guessing that's been my issue of not finding the option.

Thanks in advance and again I'm sorry if I posted this in the wrong place.

As to your league set up. Yup should be able to do that. Certainly others can help you with it better than I can

Thanks for confirming Challenge Mode does need to be disabled.

Now if someone could just tell me how to be able to fully customize leagues and teams that would be super awesome.

This makes me pine for the days of Earl Weaver Baseball when this process was way simpler. I wonder why OOTP has to over complicate it so?

There is an All Time Players quickstart you can start with. You can also import any player from any year to your team(s). I have responded to multiple posts on how to import players. (This is a teaching moment.) I will let you search on "import historical player" or on my name. You can change any of the players you don't agree with in the quickstart and create your own "dream team". Make sure you read the information about using text files to import the players. This is easier when you want numerous players. If you only have a hand full of players one by one is still easy. The post I have responded to are in this section and the general section. OOTP 2019 info still applies.
