A/B Free Agent Comp Timing

I'm using the A/B system for the first time in my 1982 historical game. All of the upcoming free agents show "no compensation in the Free Agent Type After Season. Even the best players like Mike Schmidt. When will I get to see who is type A & B...is it after the season?

I initially set free agent compensation to "none" when first creating the game, then changed it to A/B shortly after. Kinda wondering if that has something to do with it.

It's been many many years since I played with those rules, but I recall the same confusion you have now. I don't think it's because you changed rules midseason.

I recall the tags showing up and disappearing during the season more or less randomly, but I haven't used those rules since v.14 or before.
