With Abreu winning MVP maybe just maybe he can get a card better than the current 92 card now. Maybe if he played for Yankees, Red Sox, Dodgers, Braves etc. he'd have one or 2 good cards at least..I suspect his LIVE card next year will open at a 78-80 highest because as I've been told it's not how they are performing now it's based on ZIPS projection which still has his LIVE card as a 77 even when winning the MVP Award. Crap like this is what's driving me away....gotta be a Yankee, Dodger, Red Sox..Imagine a 77 card in this game being the MVP of any PT League...NEVER happen....ZIPS Projections were absolutely WAY off right?

Are there seriously people out there who think the team matters for the ratings?

Abreu was worth 2 WAR last season and 1.5 before that. He is 33 which isn't usually when players get much better. Then he was hot at the plate over a small amount of time that just so happened to be the entire season this year.

MVP voting is generally a joke and shouldn't be used as evidence of anything other than which baseball writers still thinking counting RBIs is the best way to evaluate a player.

It was only 60 games. Anybody can get hot for 60 games. That's an MVP that gets an asterisk, for sure.

In 2010, Brennan Boesch had an outstanding first 60 games, but the rest of the season was a disaster.

After a 60 game season there should not be individual rewards.

The most impacting player in 2020 was Corona.
