Game Crashes At Play Game

Whenever I try to play a game the game crashes on me. I can do everything but play games. I’ve already uninstalled and reinstalled steam and the game itself, updated all drivers, tried changing the OpenGL. Even booted up ootp 18 and gave it a test run and that let me play a game so idk what the deal is.

I’m on windows 7 and obviously on steam as I said

I'm having the exact same issue, just downloaded last night. Tried to 'play game' 6 times with the same result. I'm on Windows 10, Surface Pro X, never had an issue with previous versions on Surface Pro 4.

Are you trying to play in 3D mode? Try launching a game in 2D and see if you can pinpoint the issue

Typically if you are having a crash when hitting 'play ball' it is a 3d issue as alluded to above.

The most likely problem is an issue with outdated video card drivers. So the first thing to try is to update those. I know the OP mentioned he'd already tried that, but it's worthwhile to double or even triple check. Sometimes if you use a program that is supposed to update the drivers for you, they may not actually get properly downloaded or installed unless you do it manually.

If that still doesn't fix thing, then the next step would be to open a support ticket so the support guys can take a look at the save and work with you on it.

Damn, thought driver update would do the trick, but it was up to date. I put in a ticket on Friday with no response. Think I should reinstall?

You might need to wait till Monday for a reply. Support tries to reply within 48 hours and they do work some on the weekends, but it's slower over the weekends to get back to everyone.

I wouldn't think a reinstall would help with this sort of thing but of course, it likely can't hurt to try.
