NOTE: This league was started on OOTP 19 and we are now finishing the 2034 season, 15 full seasons now. We are currently on OOTP 21 and we will be migrating to OOTP 22 after this season (currently in the playoffs). We do sim 6 days a week and average over 90% for exports...so VERY active. Good afternoon everyone, I am currently the commish of the Federal Sim League (FSL- http://www.fslleagues.com) and we are a modern-day league that began with a fantasy draft on OOTP 19 (now on OOTP 21). Some features of the league are:

• Reduced minor league teams to AAA, AA, A, A- and Rookie League for simplicity to manage.
• Complete control of your franchise from day 1 where we all start on a level playing field.
• League financials that will mirror real-life markets.
• Sim Monday through Saturday
• Scouts will be on, coaches off with a 20-80 rating scale.
• Scouting accuracy will be very high.
• The use of Stats Plus and communication with Discord (everything will be completed in Slack).

Houston Astros (19-17)

Minor League System Rank: 31st

Financial Status:
Budget - $278 Million
Payroll - $236 million
Overall Health - Houston is a financial monster with a couple aging contracts that can be fixed with a free player release as a new owner.

Houston has now won a World Series with three different owners and is is a team that historically been a playoff favorite each season. They do have an aging core that can compete this year but will need to soon restock the farm system. Their major league team is absolutely loaded and could be a contender this season.

Two very rare openings in the main FSL league as we complete the 2034 season and get ready for 2035 on OOTP 22 and one of the teams is a dynasty team in the making.

Toronto Blue Jays (75-87)

Minor League System Rank: 12th

Financial Status:

Budget - $204 Million
Payroll - $117 million
Overall Health - Plenty of room in a win-now mode

Toronto was run by a long-time GM who knew what he was doing. The team is dynamic and set up for a long run in a fairly wide open division. Their record is so poor this year because the exports were just not there from the GM this season. A great team to win now and build around an above average farm system.


Atlanta Braves (82-80)

Minor League System Rank: 14th

Financial Status:

Budget - $168 Million
Payroll - $52 million
Overall Health - Tons of financial capital to make an impact albeit in a very tough division.

Atlanta has some talent and again were run by a great owner. The team finished 3rd in a very difficult division and has some pieces to build around.

Two new openings in the main FSL league as we complete the 2035 season and get ready for the 2036 offseason.

Here they are:

Chicago Cubs (59-103)

Minor League System Rank: 6th

Financial Status:

Budget - $200 Million
Payroll - $201 million
Overall Health - They are up against their budget and will need to make some moves. New owners get a free contract release and that should easily make this team ready to go. With the 6th best farm team, you can make this team a contender quickly in a tough division.

The Cubs have been in a bit of transition since they won their World Series and their long-time owner had to step away due to time. This team can quickly rebound as there is tons of talent on the ML roster with a solid farm team.

Financial Status:

Budget - $212 Million
Payroll - $110 million
Overall Health - Tons of financial capital to make an impact in a wide open division.

The Angels have been under a single owner for a handful of seasons but, with someone active in the trade market, this a team that could contend in the AL West. There is plenty of offensive talent and significant budget room to make an immediate impact.

Overall Health - Team spends right to the limit but they are built to contend for a long time.

The Astros are the defending World Series champs and are probably the best team in the AL. The previous owner did a great job building them up and the opening was a bit unexpected.

Montreal Expos (78-84)

Minor League System Rank: 20th

Financial Status:
Budget - $194 Million
Payroll - $151 million
Overall Health - Team spends right to the limit.

The Expos were owned by a long-time GM who had to step away due to availability. They could be a decent team if a new owner can come in and work the trade market. New owners also get to cut 1 player for free so this will help out tremendously.

Overall Health - Over budget but a free cut can really help the roster

The A's were owned by a great GM who was very active with our podcasts. Unfortunately, life got in the way but we hope to welcome him back in the future. Oakland has some stars from their World Series runs but they are aging and need an active GM to come possibly enter a rebuild. There are some really good pieces that can yield prospects.
