Historical postseason batting stats

Hi all,

First post here and I wasn't sure exactly where to put it. I've been playing OOTP since 2020 but have only just noticed something strange. I don't know if it's an error or if I'm missing something, but for me historic batting career 'games' are too low across the board. I've only noticed it in 2022 but reinstalled 21 & 20 and saw the same figures.

All the other stats (plate appearances, HRs, BA, etc, etc) seem to be correct but players simply haven't played the correct number of games.

e.g. Derek Jeter is number one in OOTP and IRL. In OOTP he only played 77 PS games, IRL the number is 158. The figures are way out for everyone else in the top 10.

Am I missing something obvious? Is this a known issue? I've searched around but haven't found a mention.

Here's the top 10 postseason games for batters, along with Jeter's individual record. Comparing it to Baseball Reference, it looks like the number of games in OOTP in any given year correlates with one series he played that year IRL. However, I don't see a consistent pattern to which series is counted (e.g. it's not the first, or last, series of each year) for each season.

The game count is of the games in the last series he played in each year.

In 1996 he played 4 games in the Division Series, 5 game in the Championship Series, and 6 games in the World Series. OOTP shows 6.

In 1997 he played only in the Division Series, 5 games. That was the last series of the year for him. OOTP shows 5 games.

In 1998 he played 3 in the Division Series, 6 in the Championship Series, 4 in the World Series. OOTP shows 4.

That's as far as I went as it seemed enough to show OOTP is showing the number of games only from the last series played of the year.

why can't we break it up for each series and overall?
why is games started , gs, NULL

just looking at the page you don't know if it is WORLD SERIES, Division, etc

Looks like there may be an error in how the stats are entered in the db we might have to fix up.

Is this happening in the quickstart/modern game or historical play, or both?

It happens across both; tried some historical starts and had the same issue.
