Just bought player disappeared?

I bought a player as a Buy It Now, moved him to the active roster, even set him up as a closer, but now when I look, I don't see him anywhere.

My roster is even showing 26 players as if the player I removed to add him to the roster was never moved to the reserve.

The coins are gone, my balance is down, but I have no idea what happened to the player. Can he be restored if there was some sort of error?

It was Aroldis Chapman, bought 1/8 at 10:33am.

Ok, never mind. I just went into my card collection and saw they were listed as inactive although I just acquired them.

I presume the previous owner had them set to inactive when they auctioned them, but I don't understand why the game doesn't switch that to Reserve when they're transferred to another team.
