Details on the 8/1 Tournament Refresh

Hey y'all,

Wanted to give you an update on what's coming, going and happening with a planned Tournament refresh that's coming next week! Here's the lowdown.

(Please keep in mind that while these tournament changes will happen Aug. 1, the first tournaments with the changes will be Aug. 8, as the ones created for the Week of Aug. 1 have to clear out beforehand.)

PRIZE CHANGES

There will be a new batch of tournament reward cards coming out on Aug. 1! A total of 140 cards will be in the rotation for reward cards, which include the Tip O'Neill and Paul O'Neill cards from Tournament Batch 1.

While we are introducing these new cards, the current batch of card rewards, save for the O'Neills, will be deactivated. However, they will be coming back at a date To Be Determined.

TOURNAMENT ADJUSTMENTS

We will be making the following adjustments to the formats of these existing tourneys:

Tuesday Snapshots: Format to change from Double Round Robin with Bo7 tournament to a Bo5 tournament throughout - no more Double Round Robin

Daily Historical Snacking Hour: Permanent cut from 64 to 32 teams, with a Bo3 format and Bo5 final. Run environment will be changed to the 1991 season.

Daily Gold Historical Cap: Cap changed to 1700, with run environment now taking place in 1971.

Daily Gold Floor, Diamond Ceiling Cap: Run environment will be changed to 1921.

Tuesday Golden Defensive Boom: Format to change from Double Round Robin with a Bo7 bracket to a Bo7 bracket throughout the tournament. Round Robin element will be eliminated.

Monday Up And At Them Bronze Cap: Run environment will be changed to 1935.

Friday Silver Cap: Run environment will be changed to 1927.

Thursday Unsung Heroes: Run environment year designation will be removed.

Saturday Overnight Under The Covers Cap: Cap will be changed to 1625, with the run environment changing to 1962.

Monday Deadball Jamboree has no cap or DH and is played in 1919
Thursday Super Happy Special Edition ha no cap and is played in 1968 with a DH
Daily Low Gold Cap has a cap of 1675
Daily OOTP Era Cap has a cap of 1750 and is played in 2002
Daily Low Bronze Cap has a cap of 1325 and no year
