Quick question: Is the cotton candy man a harbinger of doom?

Is it just me, or do only hear the "Cotton Candy" man when things are going bad?
His voice is so annoying it only adds to my anxiety.

I don't know about OOTP, but I know in SF the vendors carry cotton candy on 8' tall poles and I can't count how many times a big play has disappeared right behind a pole full of cotton candy being paraded through the grandstand

So maybe there is a cotton candy curse across the multiverse!
