Contracting to Expanding individual totals from 23 to 24
I have noticed something different in 24. In prior versions, I always felt that, although era totals were relatively correct, individual totals tended to be flattened. For example, play 1921 and the HR totals were right, but Ruth rarely hits his 59 homers. I've run replays with both Ruth and Aaron in v23, and they never reach their career totals (sorry, I no longer have those replays so this is unfortunately anecdotal).
However, in 24 I've noticed the opposite. I ran a random debut replay starting in 1991, and Tony Armas ended up hitting 84 homers one year (after never having more than 20 AB in any prior season). I ran a historical replay using exact lineup, from 1901 to 1936. Ruth ended up with 826 HRs. I know it's only 1 replay, but it's definitely a trend that I think has changed from 23 to 24. Justwondering if anyone else notices anything similar?
