I've noticed that this year outfielders are constantly trying to throw out the lead runner even when it routinely exposes bases behind the lead runner to be taken by trailing runners. Batters frequently will hit like a ground ball single into shallow right with a runner on first, the lead runner will go first to third, and the right fielder's throw to third will prompt the batter-runner to take second for free. IMO fielders should only be doing this when there's a higher likelihood of catching the lead runner or in desperate moments like cutting down a tying/winning/go-ahead run. Any chance this could be looked into?

I have seen this as well, especially when there is a benefit to keeping the trailing runner at first as opposed to trying to throw out the lead runner at third...e.g., when the tying or go ahead run is at second...although have seen this curtailed a bit.

Yes, I see this more in this version than in the past, as well.
