OOTP 25 Hotfix Public Beta: (Version 25.11.100) Available!

Important: This patch is only for OOTP 25 versions which were purchased directly from our webstore or resellers who use our Fastspring / QLM version. Steam users, please update from within the Steam client.

We discovered a few issues with the previous patch which we wanted to fix up. They are mostly related to online leagues and handling of contract offers. We are releasing this as a hotfix, and will keep it as a public beta for a few days to ensure all the issues have been properly fixed.

Important info for online leagues: This version corrects some issues related to contract offers from exports. It is important that the commissioner of leagues updates to this version and re-distributes to league members, to verify that their current pending contract offers are correct.


Use this at your own risk! Please back up important league files before loading them in this beta.

Changelist:

• Fixed incorrect offered contracts value in front office extension widget
• Fixed front office budget tab not including draft expenses
• Fixed some issues with contract offer history not appearing correctly
• Online Leagues: Fixed issues with contract offers being counted twice in projected expenses

How to access the beta on Steam:

• Quit OOTP 25 if it's running.
• Open Steam client -> Library
• Right click on Out of the Park Baseball 25
• Click on "Properties" at the bottom of the menu
• Click on the beta tab. Here, enter the following code / password: ootp25betapt
• Click on "Check code"
• Open the beta pull-down and select "publicbeta".
• Close the Steam client (Steam menu -> Exit)
• Open the client again. It should then download the beta build.

Update Info for our webstore customers: To apply the update, simply download the setup file and install it over your current installation. There is no need to uninstall or unlicense your current copy! However, you should quit the game before installing it, of course. Updates always contain all the changes from previous updates. Saved games are compatible between different versions.

Here's a PC installer (Fastspring) that installs into a single folder, which is useful for external HDs for example. Or for creating a second test install of the game, so you can try the patch out without the risk of messing up your main install of the game if something is wrong in the patch:

My online league is experiencing issues with contract offers. Everyone uses the Steam version but the latest build is Build 98.

We are in the middle of our off-season so this is a real problem.

98 is the latest official Steam build.

100 is only for those who opt into the public beta, so if not everyone in your league has done this, they will still get build 98. It's not generally recommended for online leagues to opt into the public beta, though since this build has the online league contract offer fix, it might make sense to make an exception here.

EDIT: Actually, we'll release 100 officially in just a bit here, so everyone in the league should be able to update to it normally today.
