Why is Caleb Ferguson such a good outfield defender?
His Outfield Range rating is high enough to play center in MLB.
Was he an outfielder as an amateur player? |

Incorrect data entry?
Looking at his skills I certainly wouldn't call him good, nor would I let him anywhere near an OF position in a game. Sure the 76 (still wonder if it's a mistake in data entry?) says he has range, but that 16 OF error makes me wonder if he can catch the ball when he gets to it, ie it is a killer for me. The 35 arm I could live with in LF in a jam, but if he can't catch the ball, and that 16 rating sure give me pause, what good is he?

Likely a typo in the OF Range field. He has no OF fielding stats in the database.
