Out of option years, yet the contract says two option years remaining

Check out the screenshot... am I missing something? I should be able to send this guy to AAA, shouldn't I?

I'm not clear on whether the game includes the rule for the max number of times a player can be optioned within a season, but that number is 5 in real life.

In your screenshot, it says they have already been optioned 5 times this season.

So, it seems the game may be correct that you cannot option them without passing them through waivers, but the reason in that message is incorrect.

Yep, that's it! Found the setting that confirms it's a max of 5 options. Thanks!
