Baltimore (32-31) completes the sweep against the Havana Pirates (34-29)
The Blue Craws continue to play well as they have now won 6 out of there last 7 games.
" 2-1 pitch to Havana's 3B Henry Calhoun and he pops it up to shallow right field, Arturo Amador glides in and firmly squeezes the ball with two hands and that will do it".
" What a game by Starting Pitcher Roberto Rea".
What a game is right. SP Roberto Rea's (24 yr old) first complete game of the year and third now of his short career.
Roberto limited the Pirates to just 2 hits.
Here's the line IP 9, H 2, BB 1, 4K, 96 TP , 58 for Strikes.
The Blue Claws offense continues to hit as they pound out 13 total hits, chasing Havana Starter Adrian Hughes after just 48 totals pitches.
Everyone in the lineup contributed with at least a hit.
First Baseman Raul Guevara (29 yrs old) lead the way with 2 hits, including a double and 2 RBI.
The Blue Claws now travel to New York for a three game weekend set.
The Enforcers are struggling as they have now dropped four in a row and are 2-8 in their last 10.
Good chance for the Claws to continue to climb up the standing and continue putting the pressure on the 2nd place Washington Federals.
Around the league:
Vancouver Lumberjacks get back their First Baseman Carlos Vera after being out for over two months with a torn Hamstring.
The 35 yr old Power hitter should only boost the Lumberjacks (38-25) lead in the WC Coastal Division.
