Distinguished Associations of Baseball Logos & Uniforms

When I was a kid, two of my favorite games were Radio Baseball and, later, Earl Weaver Baseball. I created my own teams and designed my own logos, and to this day I have fond memories of the Albuquerque Cacti battling the Rapid City Grizzlies (led by Hank Aaron), or the dominating pitching of the Anchorage Seafarers going up against Honolulu Volcanos. Earlier this year, I discovered OOTP and re-kindled my love for baseball simulations. Setting up a league is probably my favorite part. I love researching cities and finding just the right team nickname; I love digging through team names past and present, major and minor league; I love trying to design logos.
All of which is to say, over the past several months, I have been designing logos and uniforms. Not being much of an artist, the going has been slow, but I'm decently happy with some of my productions. My goal, more or less, is to create logos and uniforms for 96 teams (24x4) in my "Distinguished Associations of Baseball." Thus far, I have finished ten, and I thought that now was as good a time as any to start sharing my work. My completed logos and uniforms may be found at Photobucket.
Among these initial ten is a logo for one of my childhood teams, the Albuquerque Cacti. This logo is a direct descendent of the Cacti logo I drew as a kid.

There is also the logo that kicked off my present project. Joining a new online league, I chose quite at random a team from Indianapolis. I always enjoyed the old Negro League nickname, the Indianapolis ABCs, and so named my team the XYZs. (Incidentally, X.Y.Z. was also how one of my favorite writers, the 19th-century English essayist Thomas De Quincey, signed many of his essays.) Since most everyone else in the league was using red and blue, I thought I'd use some different colors and ended up with a 70s vibe.

And a big thank you to all the people in the OOTP Community who have put in so much work into the customizations—templates for jerseys, shading layers for caps, collections of logos (original or collected), et cetera. I find it to be incredibly inspiring.
