Same with me - been a week now.

I wonder how many PP I have to spend...

Apologies for the lack of any update. Unfortunately, this update is the same.

We continue to work every day and night with our provider. Their updates are similar, that they are aware of the certificate issues and they are working on addressing them, that it is not as simple as they would hope and that it's affecting a number of the services that they host.

In case you think we are not pursuing this with everything we have, we had two of our developers sitting with one of our customers for more than three hours in a screenshare session yesterday, trying anything and everything to connect that person's PC to the service. Nothing worked.

This issue is at the local PC area, because we've been able to establish connectivity to one of the affected accounts from machines in our environment.

Basically, what's happening is the certificate on the local machine is not good, and the connection does not get established because of it.

I promise you that I am working day and night to resolve this issue. Unfortunately I am limited in what I can do other than call our providers every few hours and ask for updates.

No one is more frustrated than I am.

I wish I had a better answer. I don't, not yet. But we are not letting up.

If I was to delete all Sectigo certificates affiliated with OOTP on my computer what would happen?

And threatening to break box office records. The PT horror story of the year.

9th day and still unable to connect!

This is still broken for me. You should be trying to recoup money from your hosts and move to another provider. As a corporate IT guy there’s no way these guys know what they are doing.

Azagoth 06-08-2020 09:04 PM

Stanley, jmento, and phantom, what operating systems are you running the game on?

Azagoth 06-08-2020 11:26 PM

I FIXED IT!!!!! :woohoo:

Goto https://support.sectigo.com/Com_Know...A01N000000rfBO scroll down to Root Certificates and download SHA-2 Root : USERTrust RSA Certification Authority. Run the file. Click install certificate, next and finish. :woohoo:

phantomtollbooth 06-09-2020 02:41 AM

So, if this is tied to the whole sectigo root cert problem, OOTP may need to update how they are handling TLS

Two weeks of frustration gone in less than two minutes! Thank you so much!

I FIXED IT!!!!!!!!!

I had to go in and delete the old certificate associated with the program - if you downloaded the new certificate and it still won't load, try deleting the expired one from any location you can find it

Stanley Kuppchaser 06-09-2020 09:38 PM

Hopefully, you're the last one.

tdean001 06-10-2020 11:12 AM

Last night I updated my certificates per the prior post and it's been working fine since. I even got to uninstall Opera and no more VPN for me ;-)

I'd highly suggest that fix.

I haven’t had time to try to figure this fix out yet but I know I still can’t log in.

This fix has resolved the Cannot Connect issue for most users who aren't able to use the Opera Web Browser/VPN setup to fix the issue. So if you are still having this issue with the game not connecting to our servers please attempt this fix to get your certifications updated.

Thanks
Alex

For clarity

I would emphasize that this is an actual fix, that is, it gets to the root of the problems and restores things to working order. The opera browser/VPN was a work around, which, while artful, did not get to the root of the problem, and still left people behind. Azagoth's fix does not. To equate the two is a bit disingenuous. I daresay those who are using the opera work around, and find it cumbersome, might give the fix a look. It gets you back to where you were before the whole the mess started. Thanks again, Azagoth.

Could not sync your cards. Please retry.

I have been getting this error every time I try to get into PT this evening!

I saw the certificate replacement fix and tried it. Still no card sync!

Is there a server outage on OOTP's end?

Thanks in advance for your help!

The certificate replacement was for not being able to log in. This is a totally different error that I'm getting too. I do believe it's an outage because when I try to access the OOTP manual I get a "504 Gateway Time-out" error.

MightyQuinn 05-23-2022 07:10 AM

Getting the could not sync cards but it seems this issue is over 2 years old ?
