Budget/free agent question
 

In my financial section:

Budget $180,000,000
Payroll $170,000,000
Extensions $26,000,000
Free agents $10,000,000

And yet, I can't offer a free agent contract to anyone. It tells me that I have no money left for contracts this season.

It's November, so it's the off season. Does my owner still think it's last season, when I was 2MM over budget?

I'm not sure what's going on, or how to get through this.

its funky. In my experience, most of the time its due to some future budget that you can't see, like if you have a guy making 400K this year but has already signed an extension and will make 5M next 2 years. Only the 400K shows up on the current budget. So you get a few of these guys and all of a sudden it shows you are 10M under, but your future budget (which you can't see) is 10M over!

And I think the contract extensions start as soon as free agency starts. I think thats when the budget gets updated.

Correct me if I'm wrong someone.
