Budget/free agent question
In my financial section:
Budget $180,000,000 Payroll $170,000,000 Extensions $26,000,000 Free agents $10,000,000 And yet, I can't offer a free agent contract to anyone. It tells me that I have no money left for contracts this season. It's November, so it's the off season. Does my owner still think it's last season, when I was 2MM over budget? I'm not sure what's going on, or how to get through this. Thanks for your help. |

its funky. In my experience, most of the time its due to some future budget that you can't see, like if you have a guy making 400K this year but has already signed an extension and will make 5M next 2 years. Only the 400K shows up on the current budget. So you get a few of these guys and all of a sudden it shows you are 10M under, but your future budget (which you can't see) is 10M over! And I think the contract extensions start as soon as free agency starts. I think thats when the budget gets updated. Correct me if I'm wrong someone. |
