PT Server Errors (5/31)

Hey everyone,

We are aware of the influx of Card Sync Errors and Connection issues in regards to reaching the PT servers. The issues range from connecting to teams and even for people who do get in the issues also extend into redeeming missions and doing Auction House work.

We are in contact with our server providers with their tech team to get this resolved as quickly as possible. We were updated by them this afternoon (5/31) that they believe they know the issue that is causing all of this. They believe an expired certification for some of their servers is the root issue and they are getting that fixed as quickly as possible on their end. However do to that issue being on their hardware we aren't able to actively reset or reboot servers to get around that issue. We are actively attempting to get this issue escalated through their support team so it gets priority. We will absolutely update you all as we get more info.

Thanks
Alex

UPDATE

Good morning folks. At this time, Perfect Team server-based actions remain down. This is horribly unfortunate but also, outside of our control at this time as we hope our server provider can resolve things as soon as possible. PT being down means it is down for us as well, we cannot start the Monday league generation procedure, updating promotion/relegation, basically nothing at this time. We are discussing internally a schedule/plan to get Season 11 going as soon as server access is restored.

This is extremely frustrating for us, as I'm sure it is for you as well. We want to thank everyone for their patience and understanding as we work to restore PT. Thanks.

Update from Markus -

Sorry guys, it seems something at the end of our service provider broke down last night, but they were able to fix it a few minutes ago, things are going back to normal now. It may be that simming will start a bit later today than usual, as promotion / relegation is now behind schedule.

Thanks for your patience!!

Question...I've never been logged on when you guys set up the new leagues/season, will I get logged out at some point or do I need to get out for that process?

Update #2 - it appears our service provider has fixed the issue and PT is returning to normal access. The dev team is currently running the promotion/relegation script. The start of simulations today will be delayed by 2 hours and start at 12pm ET

Tournaments messed up as well

I was just signing up for a couple of tournaments when the servers went South yesterday, and 2 of them are stuck in 'Preparing' mode. Will those get cleaned up as well soon?

UPDATE: They're cleared up! Thanks! :D

Alex, Kris and the rest of the team

Thank you simply for addressing it and keeping us informed of what the problem was and the solution in works. It's much more appreciated than you konw.

Nothing has changed for me. Could not connect.

DenverRenegades 06-01-2020 12:07 PM

If you guys need help migrating to a more robust solution , there are plenty of unemployed cloud architects in the states !

mbiller 06-01-2020 12:46 PM

Same boat here - still getting the "Could not connect" message pre-login. Hopefully this is still being worked on.

I do believe the certificate issue from Saturday that affected a small number of users is still in the process of being fixed. I've passed this on to the rest of the team to follow-up

phantomtollbooth 06-01-2020 10:55 PM

This is still hosed for me.

El Jeffe 06-01-2020 11:05 PM

Still cannot connect.:(

bluesguy 06-01-2020 11:18 PM

Same unable to connect for me also.
However, on an older laptop I am able to connect.
Appreciate the devs being on top of this.
Thanks,,,,,

The Otter 06-02-2020 01:33 AM

Still unable to connect as well. Is there a point at which the change is likely to be fully applied? Also, would reinstalling help?

Stanley Kuppchaser 06-02-2020 05:15 AM

Still No Go

Thankfully, I can keep up with my second license on my laptop. Feel so bad for those who don't have that option. Soon I hope.

yno88 06-02-2020 09:37 AM

Five days to fix a certificate issue? You guys need to put a boot in somebody's ass.

Monty_Burns 06-02-2020 04:01 PM

Is there any update for those of us still experiencing errors when trying to connect to Perfect Team?

Rich Grisham 06-02-2020 04:38 PM

We are actively engaged every day and night with our providers to resolve this issue. We realize how frustrating this is. Several of us have been working day and night since Saturday to understand, diagnose, and resolve the issue and it continues to be frustratingly out of reach for a number of our users.

We aren't letting up, we just don't have a good answer right now.
