Other than Dylan Crewes and Paul Skenes, the most likely first two picks, the Tigers will have a lot of talent to choose from. The draft is loaded with hitters that have either proven themselves in college or dominating high school ball.

With all that said, since the Tigers are going to have to start winning soon, I think they should go with a college hitter like Wyatt Langford (from UF). There are a few high school outfielders, Jenkins and Clark, who probably have a higher ceiling and hit from the left side, but come with higher risk being straight out of prep school. Whereas Langford would be a consensus top pick any other year, if a certain two other players (see beginning of post) in his conference weren't around. And I think he'll be MLB ready much sooner than the others, which again, the Tigers have to start considering soon.

I always believe in taking best overall talent.

My only exception would be if you have a position that is so blocked by a sure thing young star.

But in today's game, the minors do a good job of teaching a player a secondary position and with the DH things are not so blocked anymore at getting them players PAs.

And no offence to the Tigers, but they seem to need talent all over the field. So take the best overall.
