Ok, supposed to be here Wed. but didn't show up until Saturday. One day of bad weather turned into a 3 day delay. Not cool but Amazon ponied up $45 for my trouble.

Going from IPS to VA the colors don't seem to pop quite as much. Not bad by any means and may also be affected by the matte screen? Kind of what I expected and more about eyes adjusting to something different. Setup easy, no dead or bright pixels, and my 1660 super card is running it just fine at 144 Hz. As long as I'm sitting at my desk the picture quality is solid side to side, IE the pic doesn't fade as one moves towards the edges. Even getting out of my chair I have to move far to the side to see any fade.

It's massive at first glance.

I'll drop a few screens. Standings and leaders for Bluenoser. Also modern 3d, monitor on desktop, and personnel search screen (no overlap of column headers ).

And a few more...

Except for the modern 3d all screens are as they were on my old monitor. Just not scrunched on the UW. The scout page is particularly improved. On the old monitor the text in the development report boxes would be jumbled in many spots. Not any more.

Haven't had time to figure out what else I may want to add with the extra space.

Here's what I've got on my batter and pitcher screens. I leave ratings off except for fielding so I only put overall fielding rating on the batting tab. Even with all of the numbers, though, there's still as you can see, a whole lot of real estate left, no bunched up fields (I guess except for all of the personality ratings I include up towards the beginning - that's national popularity, leadership, local popularity, adaptability, and work ethic in order).

I've built a few of those views too, especially for the draft and minor league evaluations, with stats and ratings combos. Also in the menu for the batter page I have fielding views for IF, OF, and C with stats and ratings. Yeah, with the extra real estate I'll be able to expand greatly on how I mix and match.

Anyone else noticed the game loafing really slowly if started in full screen mode? I've always wondered if that's a ultra wide issue or an 49in ultra wide issue? It takes aboitb5 times as long to load if I'm loading in full screen

I've always played full screen and have never had that issue. There's been no difference moving to my new UW. OOTP comes up the same as it always has.

Thanks for the reply... narrows it down to being an issue with the large monitor or the resolution then

Thought I'd post a couple of more. Team home screen I added a column that allowed me to widen the graphs to double wide. Then a view to use in game for batters vs. RHP or LHP with both stats and ratings. A week with the new UW and haven't scratched the surface of what is possible.

It was stretching out screens something awful. So I had to back down my screen or upgrade to DisplayPort. Considering I don't play other games, the choice was easy, I got a $65 video card upgrade and switched and have never looked back. Also, I didn't keep both monitors. I gave the smaller one to my wife. On the 49, I have enough desk landscape to not need the 2nd anymore. Added in game screen with how my widgets are set up and this is not the largest possible, this is still in windowed mode.

ok... I am jealous... that in game picture is amazing

I would totally have to redo my setup but holy gosh jee willuppers

Got tired of looking up at my samsung 43" qled tv so i thought i would try aultrawide monitor agin.
I had one for a week a few years ago but everything seemd so stretched out.
Then i saw the pictures posted in this thread and it convinced me to give it another try.
I wasn't disappointed.
I can actually see where the fielders go now.
I can see the whole field now.
I i will probably move more apps to the taskbar and other stuff to the middle
so im not turning my head so much.
I agree its worth it for ootp.
Also civ 6 looks good as well. I can see the east and west without scrolling.
Most of all it gives me a better view in American truck simulator so i know who to run into.
