Stuck on Rule 5 Draft Day

I posted this in another area by mistake. I am really hoping someone can help. I am in the second season of an imported league from 6.51. I am the new gm for the Astros. I reached the Rule 5 Draft Day. I get to the screen where the team draft order is showing. Once I reached that screen I can't seem to get past it.

Is there a button I am not seeing? I am in window mode. I even tried to move past this by advancing past this to free agency. What am I doing wrong or missing. Another possible bug?

Can anyone help?

On the draft screen, are there no options at the bottom of the screen?

It's a bug. I hit the same one and ended up abandoning the career.

Someone else mentioned they were able to get past it by saving the game and reloading a couple times. I tried that about a dozen times and it never worked for me.

I did not see any thing at the bottom of the screen. I can' get past the team rule 5 draft order screen. There is a contine button at the bottom right hand of the screen. I click it and it says rule 5 draft not completed. I can't find a way to by pass the rule 5 draft order screen.

I've had the same problem almost everytime I get the the rule 5. I just send my GM on vacation and comeback after the rule 5 is done. Essentally what happens is it says the Rule 5 is complete, without me having done it, so I try to continue and it says it needs to be finished. Hope that's a bit more helpful.

Comment has come back today in our tracker software when we checked this bug out

"User error! He has to click the "continue draft" button, not the general continue button."

Hi,

I have this problem too.

Marc, you say to click the continue button on the draft screen (bottom right hand corner). I've done that and it makes no difference. The only thing i can think of that might cause an issue here is that i clicked the tab at the top to continue draft and not the button. I'll do some testing to see if i can recreate this.

EDIT:

OK, heres what i've found. The first time i ran through it, i got the email thingy telling me about it, and i had the first pick, and i clicked the tab, it said it had finished.

Second time through, i didn't get the email, didn't have the first pick and it worked fine. will test more

EDIT again:

Hmmmmm, the next season in my test league didn't have the rule 5 draft, and i couldn't load it up before a save before the first one as there doesn't seem to be a bodge to do that unlike FM/EHM when you could resign

The continue draft button doesn't work for me either. I thought maybe it was getting hung up because the first team in the draft has a full 40 man roster, just a thought.

The first time i got the issue, i had first pick and i only had 34 on my 40 man roster.

Question:

ok, here goes.

No pics, but yes, the continue draft button is there, but all it does, is go to the second tab, that says draft is over.

I've got some screenies, i'll upload them somewhere and post them

this is not "user error"... I have the same problem as reported above.

The only way around it (I can find) is not a good one. You have to quit your position with your team, sim a day to get through the draft, then hope you can re-join the team you just quit... worked 2 out of 4 times for me, so 50%...

or you can start over and disable the Rule 5 Draft... of course 10 to 15 years later you'll run into the fatal crash problem "supposedly" logged as #1610...

This is not user error. Some of us can't get past this draft. I had to start over with the Rule 5 Draft disabled.
