Crash at edit schedule

It's not exactly a crash, but when I try to manually edit the schedule, the game stops working (I eventually get a "program not responding" message from my computer.) The first time this happened, I tried going into the schedule editor in January (i.e., during the offseason.) I thought maybe this was because the offseason had not been completed yet, so I restarted the game and tried it again on opening day, before any games had been played. Same thing happened.

Anyone else with this problem/what am I doing wrong?

Hmm, in offseason you would still be holding the previous season's schedule, so I do not think you should do that. At what point in doing that did you have the problem - was it after deleting a game, well into the process after making several changes, sometime else?

Trying it on opening day when the new schedule is in should work fine assuming all was still okay. Again, at what point/step in the editting did the problem occur?

I didn't even get a chance to edit. After click on "game setup" and then the "league setup" tab, I clicked the "other functions" and then "edit schedule", and I get this:

ootp2006.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

along with the option to send an error report, and this shuts down the game.

Can you give the configuration of that league and your overall universe? How many years into the league was this?

My league is 48 teams (2 sub-leagues with four divisions of 6 teams in each league.) There is a AAA and a AA team in each organization. I tried to edit the schedule on opening day of the regular season in the first year.

This also happened in a test league I was setting up that had full minors and 2 sub-leagues, 2 divisions per each, 5 teams per division.
