Bug in Lahman import?

I have a fictional league that imports historical players and the first season went fine - sort of. The historical players weren't in the inaugural draft, they were free agents (Is this a bug?)

Anyhow, since the initial import, each subsequent draft tells me it can't find the path to the database even though it is still entered and correct (and remember, it worked the first time).

Any ideas?

Update:

I just created a historical league for 1901 and upon loading the league for the first time it gives me the same error about not finding the database. What's odd though, is that all of the players DID import correctly. That's exactly what happened in my fictional league too.

Any ideas?

did you follow these steps exactly when setting the path to the database, including pointing the game to the master.csv within the database?

Yes, I did that and it does load the first time correctly but gives an error anyhow. But after that it won't load so it not only gives the error, it also doesn't import any more real players.

Are you using Lahman 5.3 or the new Arod/Garlon db? Whichever you are using, try another league with the opposite one and see if you get the same problem. When you do this set the league up as a historical league and not a fictional league.

Update:

I tried Garlon/Arod's DB and had the same problem (with a historical league).

Finally, I moved the Lahman DB into the OOTP 2006 folder and it worked! Has anyone got it to work with the Lahman DB stored outside of the game folder?

I can't imagine why it's this way - all I did was copied the Lahman folder to a different place and it worked. There were no typos, I checked many times. I moved the Lahman DB back and changed the path and tried to create a new league and it still doesn't work - only if it's in the game folder.

BTW, my game is not installed in the default location. Perhaps the bug is related to this?
