What happened to the automatic saving of the game?
I may be losing my mind (always possible) and once again I apologize if this has already been posted.
I was playing the game last night when it crashed back to the desktop. I had played for a couple of hours encompassing half a season. I was in the thick of a pennant race and was enjoying myself. The game crashed when I was managing a game and did a quick sime from one part of the game until the 9th inning. No biggie I thought as this game in previous versions has crashed before but you didn't lose much as the game was alwasy saved after an autoplay series ended. I went back into the game and saw I was back to where I had started the evening. It appears that the game is no longer automatically saved. Is this true? That's not good. As all things in the computer world crash at one time or another, I always liked that it was no big deal in OOTP because you suffered a minimum loss due to the automatic saving. Now you suffer a major loss. My question is, should the game have been automatically saving? If it should have been then there is a bug. If it shouldn't have been, and it's up to the user to save, I suggest putting the automatic saving feature back in the game because reality is very few of us save our work on a regular basis. Plus we are spoiled because it used to be there. Thank you. |

READ THE MANUAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This was NEVER removed from the game. On the Game Setup screen, you have the option to change how often the game automatically saves, from every day to once a year to never. This can be accessed at any time from the "game" drop-down menu. |
