Unable to DFA minor leaguer

I am trying to DFA Schaffer to remove him from the 40 man. I first put him on waivers, then dragged and dropped to the DFA area, but got this message.

If I instead drag and drop him below the DFA box, it says "This player has to clear waivers before he can be taken off the secondary (40-man) roster. Suggestion: Put the player on waivers and designate him for assignment."

I need to make room on the 40-man but I can't take him off! Help!

Did you try to drag him from the "Waivers" box? If so, the UI thinks you're trying to take the player off of waivers before his time is over.

Good question. No, I am dragging from the 40-man box. If I drag from Waivers, it tells me I need to drag to the lower part of the screen to remove from waivers.

The funny thing is is that I've been able to do this before.. I don't think I've tried since I installed patch 1....

Try right clicking on the player, selecting the "Transaction..." menu and going from there.

The more straightforward way should work, though - we have a workaround, so not as urgent - but still a bug, nonetheless.
