Bug: Injured Players Starting
In my sim, I'm currently in September. So I brought up a number of players to fatten the roster. I dutifully set the depth charts and lineups to the way I wanted it. The next day, my starting LF was inujured for 2 weeks - "no big deal" I said, "there are enough guys to handle it, so I'll just leave him on the roster - no need to fiddle with the DL." So I didn't change ANYTHING - not the depth chart, not the lineups, nothing.
So now I run a sim, and look at the box score, and notice a player has been pinch-hit for in the 1st inning. Yeah, it's my injured guy. Looks like he's inserted into the starting lineup (because after all he IS in the lineup and still #1 on the depth charts), but when it's time for him to bat (visiting team here) the AI realizes he can't bat, so we pinch hit for him. When I'm playing as the home team, my injured guy takes the field, but gets pinch-hit for the first time he comes to bat. I suggest that when the computer manager is making out lineups, that injured players be skipped. ![]() |
