Status on importing a 6.5 league?
Does anyone know if the new patch has improved the importing from 6.5?
I know some stats won't transfer, but is it realativly stable now? I would like to just import my career and go from there. How hard is it to import and then continue on as simple as it is in 6.5? Do you have to setup leagues or change settings, etc..? Thanks! |

The import will need to point to your "league.dat" file of your current 6.5x game. It will then extract what it needs, ballparks and ballpark dats come in. You will then have the option to create minor leagues for your world. Suggested to add one level at a time though if you want you can hit "add all levels". This will give you AAA, AA, A, SA, and Rookie. ML teams will have fictional names and it takes an hour and a half to two hours to type it all in for the five levels. Then save the template in case you want to go back and change something (which would mean starting your dynasty over) or to go back after you run a test sim without losing any of your setup. All leagues I have done, and I did test the beta patch, have come in with pitching dominant. This latest build usually gives me a league BA around .255, while walks are very low and k's a little high. So I would reccomend siming one test season to see where you will need to tweak the leaue total settings. It's very easy with the new version. If you start with setting of 1.00 and need to increase hits 10% simply change the setting to 1.100. The first time I tweaked with the current patch my league BA went from .255 to .268 (ootp default setting is .266) with other stats pretty close. So not hard and doesn't take long to do. Seasons sim, with all levels of minors, in about 7 minutes on my machine. There was another guy that posted his stats were fine and would need no changes. Perhaps something different in the way the ratings in our leagues developed over time? I like the new game. The new patch has it to the point I will start playing out a real career. Depending on how picky you are about your baseball stats YMMV. If you have any more questions just ask. I will be gone most of the day tommorow though so it would be evening before I could answer.
