Does anyone have a photo with former heavyweight contender Ron Stander refereeing? He's been a referee for boxing and wrestling since retiring. Way back, Rasmuth rated him as a referee. Thanks in advance.

I have to send Mr Adolph an email. He contacted me a few times as he was setting up his account but then didn't come back to the board after he did so. He probably has some lame excuse such as having to go referee a bout or something.

I would also love for Mr.Alolph to become a contributing member of our little forum. I bet he has a lifetime of great stories he could share...hope he gets time to drop by once in a while.

Here's one of Lou Marsh. Marsh was a respected sportswriter who refereed most of the important boxing matches held in Toronto during the late twenties and early thirties. He also worked hockey games at the Mutual Street Arena. He was so admired that the award for the top male athlete in Canada was named after him.
