Too Many Teams Listed/Stored?
From leagues created with the latest 1.02 beta patch:
The Database Info screen lists too many teams. There seem to be two problems. First, the game lists two more teams per league than actually exist. Second, the game lists teams from leagues that were created and then deleted during universe creation. I arrived at these conclusions by creating three leagues: 1) A 20-team league with three sets of minor leagues, all three of which were deleted before creation. This league lists 82 teams (20 real teams plus two imaginary ones plus 20 deleted teams times three deleted leagues). 2) A 16-team league. This league lists 18 teams (16 real teams plus two imaginary ones). 3) A 16-team league with three sets of minor leagues that were not deleted. This league lists 72 teams (16 real teams plus two imaginary ones for each of four leagues). This is really strange. Hopefully, this is merely a bookkeeping error. Otherwise, the game is keeping data for too many non-existent teams. Last edited by Nutlaw; 07-08-2006 at 12:21 PM. |

Nutlaw,
I have logged this as TT # 2139, specifically to address the issue of deleted teams. Regarding the "extra" teams, I can answer that for you: the 2 extra teams for each league are the All-Star teams for each subleague. The game creates placeholders for those teams, and that's why you're seeing those few extra teams in the database info screen. Thanks, Steve |
