Huge number of retirements
I have a Cuban independent league with one affliated AA minor league team for each major league team. Before the start of the second season of the AA league a huge number of players retired from the AA teams.
Most teams had most of their players retire although these players were 18-25 years old and did fine the previous season. I had to create a large number of free agents for the league to fill up the teams again. |

Do you have an amateur draft? If som how many rounds? Keep in mind, this creates new players for each of the team to find a place for these guys to play, and with only one affiliated minor league squad, there aren't many plasce available.

For this Major League+AA combo league: amateur draft of 5 rounds that takes place 15 June. The retirements took place on or about 1 April (1.5 months before the draft) so the retirements did not seem related to finding places for newly drafted players (which would have been only 5 players per team).
So many players retired that some teams only had 10 players on their rosters. Players who were first round picks in the previous year were retiring at the age of 18. Players who were 24-year old all-stars the previous year retired. |

JohnVee,
Again, sorry for the absurdly late response. I believe this problem was resolved... Have you seen this issue crop up in the later patches? Thanks very much, Steve |

We have a rule that states that Tech Support threads wherein we have not received a response within 7 days will be closed.
This one meets this criteria, so I'm closing this. If you want to discuss it again, just PM me with the thread link, and I'll re-open. (Don't just say "Hey, reopen my thread." I need to know the URL, thanks!) Steve |
