Free Agents not responding to offers from Transaction screen

I've made offers to two free agent players during spring training to fill post-trade holes, one two weeks of gametime ago, another three days ago, and i haven't received any notice of rejection or acceptance. When I go to their player screen and try to make another offer, I'm told I recently made an offer and to wait for a response before making a new offer.

Also, is there a screen where I can track outstanding offers?

I tried to sign more players and simmed forth a month and no one has responded to my offers yet. Is there anyway to reset this league? I put a lot of work into its setup and I'm going to be aggrivated if I have to start from scratch. I have played around with a few other leagues before and never ran into this problem. Although one was a 1998 historical which never had any free agents available...

Are you possibly the commissioner, using the "Act As" feature to make these offers?

I think I may have the same problem in the league with the draft date problem I posted earlier today. I made 2 or 3 free agent offers from the transaction screen with no responses for several days before I noticed the draft date issue. I simmed ahead a few months trying to figure out that problem and it didn't dawn on me that I still didn't get any responses until I read this thread. I can send you the league file if you need it.

Open Internet Explorer, or your web brower.

Type ftp://217.158.3.6 and press Enter.

Enter the user name and password I listed above.

Navigate to the ootp/game-save folder in the screen that appears

Copy your zipped up .dat files and paste them into the game-save window.

Let me know if this helps!

Big D4VT,

I think that I know the reason for this issue. I opened up your league, and immediately noticed that you aren't actually the GM for any team. You are the commissioner, and you are "Acting As" the GM for Atlanta.

If you go to the Manager menu, and select Available Jobs, you will see that all GM positions in the world are listed. This means that you are not currently employed with anyone.

As long as you are in "Act As" mode, you will not receive any responses to trade offers. You must be the full-time GM of the team. To do this, you must Apply As GM for the Atlanta job, or whichever one you wish.

Thanks, I appreciate your help. I must say though that I don't like these new "Modes" at all. If I wanted to be hired/fired and have a manager "Career" I would just get a PlayStation. I was perfectly happy with the simple choice between human controlled and computer controlled.

Yeah, this is clearly an area where an idea didn't pan out quite like they had hoped. It's certainly on the list for revamping, and making it more intuitive.
