Pinch Hit/Run Issues
I broke out OOTP again with the new patch (1.02) and played my first game as the manager of the Augusta Mud Sharks (Default Quick Start). I am the in game manager and the first game was an exciting one. I lost in the 10th inning 4 to 3.
My problem is that even though my opponent appropriately used pinch hitters and runners, some of the players that were replaced were not removed from the game. Specific examples: 1. My pitcher beaned their starting 2B in the first inning. He was injured and out of the game. The AI pinch ran for him, but the starting injured 2B played defense for the rest of the game. The PR batted throughout the rest of the game, and was labeled PR in the boxscore (...a pinch runner with 3 at bats!) 2. The AI pinch hit for the starting shortstop in the 7th inning, but the starting shortstop remained in the game defensively. The AI also Pinch Hit 3 other times correctly, meaning that the player that was pinch hit for was replaced appropriately. I am not much of a poster, but I see this games potential, so I want to do my share. ![]() Please disregard this post if this problem has already been identified and assigned a TT. Regards, Rob Loyal OOTPer since OOTP 1! |

Pinch Hitter issue described in my first post happened in the 3rd game of my season as well. I'm assuming that it is a bug.
Question: If a batter hits a sacrifice fly, is it not true that the plate appearance is not considered an at-bat? I'm 99% sure that a SF should not count as an AB. The reason that I mention this is that my stud SS got credited with a SF and an AB in one plate appearance. Regards, Rob |

Is this with an old saved game or newly created? If not please do so and let us know.

It's newly created.
I patched to 1.02 and built a new league. It's the default beginner quickstart (i.e., 16 teams with full minors). Rob |

If this happens again, and I hope it does, can you take a screenshot of the PBP to show some of what you are seeing? Does creating your own league do the same thing, or just the quickstart?

It's not too noticable in the PBP, but it is evident in the boxscore. Attached is a screenshot. Notice that substitution a and d for Anaheim do not result in substitutions for the 2B and SS.
I have seen this happen in a few games that I have played in the quickstart league only. I have not developed my own league yet. <?xml:namespace prefix = v ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:vml" /><v:shape id=_x0000_i1025 style="WIDTH: 6in; HEIGHT: 345.75pt" type="#_x0000_t75"><v:imagedata o:title="" src="file:///C:\DOCUME~1\Rob\LOCALS~1\Temp\msohtml1\01\clip_ima ge001.png"></v:imagedata></v:shape> |

Does this happen with other created games besides quickstarts? Like the default MAL league?
