Sure why not... there's only 2 outs. The batter can sacrifice bunt like a mad crazy hungarian, he can't bunt for a hit at all...

but that runner on third passed home plate completely free and clear... and the batter executed his sacrifice perfectly.

The only good thing about that is the batter was the first baseman, so he doesn't have to run to his position now.

Yes, and people here argued that it DOES make sense to squeeze with two outs. I don't see how, as most squeeze bunts go directly back to the pitcher, which is an easy play to first. It DOES make sense to bunt for a hit in that situation (assuming you actually have the ability to do that), but that's not the same as a squeeze.

Yes, I have the patch.
I've only seen it once, but I only watch my games and I only have 2 batters that are any good at sacrifice bunting... so maybe the first time the situation has come up and could be a while before it occurs again.

It tried again, thankfully he fouled it off.

The batter is rated (according to my head scout) as 12 in sac bunt, 10 in bunt for hit. Man on third, 2 outs trailing by 1 in the 7th. The batter is 2 for 2 on the day. Batting .354 so far this year (28 games) .470 OBP and .610 SLG.

Clicked a button too fast and wasn't able to get a screen shot.
