Info about .bak files
My online league folder was already gigantic, and then suddenly .bak files start to show up in there, increasing the size drastically again. The zip file is 289MBs!!!
Can anyone tell me what these .bak files are doing here, and whether they can be deleted? ![]()

Don, make a copy of the entire league folder as a backup. Then go into the original and delete all of the .bak files. These are backup files and it's usually safe to delete them but in case you delete something else by mistake, keep that copy ready. After you delete them, make another copy and store that somehwere. Finally, run a test sim and browse everything to make sure everything is where it should be. If all is fine, delete this league folder and bring in your most recent copy that had the .bak files removed.

If the game loads the database without any problems, it's safe to delete these .bak files. They are being created when you load an online league file, to prevent loss of data if the league file is damaged or something like that. So if your game works fine, just delete them.

We have a rule that states that Tech Support threads wherein we have not received a response within 7 days will be closed.
This one meets this criteria, so I'm closing this. If you want to discuss it again, just PM me with the thread link, and I'll re-open. (Don't just say "Hey, reopen my thread." I need to know the URL, thanks!) Steve |
