Mac OS X installation problem
I bought OOTP6 for OS X in the spring but haven't gotten around to playing a fulls season until now. I downloaded the demo but couldn't find a licensing option after installation, but the game seemed to work. I just figured that, since I had downloaded the game from a link provided at purchased, it might be the licensed version.
Well, I was wrong. The eSellerate wizard keeps running me through the same purchase process, even though I paid for the game several months ago. Mac users: how in the world did you register the game? Am I just completely boneheaded and blind to the obvious? Help! |

Yeah, I got the demo, but I can't seem to go from there. Where is the link to buy it for a Mac OS X??

I'm still stuck at the same impass. I tried licensing with my original order ID, but eSellerate doesn't recognize it or my e-mail, as I never registered to begin with.
To sum up: I DO own the license, but never registered. Do I have to go through the eSellerate software delivery again? I thought about doing this, but worried about eSellerate treating it as a seperate transaction and just billing me twice. |

Can I ask, how did you initially purchase the game? I'm assuming that you received some sort of confirmation e-mail that had your order ID. You shouldn't have to redownload the software or anything. Walk me through, step-by-step, what happens. So, the software is already on your machine. 1. You double-click on the OOTP 2006 icon... 2. what happens next? If you can figure out how to take/post screenshots here, that might help me even more. We'll get this figured out eventually. ![]() |

Double click OOTP2006, navigate through eSellerate software delivery...
![]() Wait, what's this? ![]() Okay, that's what had me stuck for a while. Checking the new guide, I saw something I hadn't noticed - holding down the control key during startup let's you go to an optional re-install menu (which I tried of course), not that I've ever registered to begin with. ![]() Only to get as far as this: ![]() Thanks, eSellerate! So, that's as far as I've managed to go. What next? |

Have you tried this page? http://store3.esellerate.net/store/support/Default.aspx. You can put your e-mail address in and have it send your order ID to you again. Just a doublecheck to make sure you have the right info. I don't know much about Mac's, but maybe this will help.

It definitely seems like this is an issue that you may need to work out with eSellerate directly.
One possibility is that, through trial and error, eSellerate thinks that you have already "used up" your licenses. I would contact them and do the following: 1. Confirm that you have the correct Order ID / e-mail registered. 2. Once you have done that, ask them to check whether either of your 2 licenses (you get 2 licenses with your purchase) are currently "in use." If they are, ask them to remove those so that both of your licenses are available. You could also try the Manual Activation option on the eSellerate support page. One other possibility to consider: the Mac and PC versions of the game have completely separate licenses. Is it possible that you mistakenly purchased the PC version of the game? That would explain why eSellerate doesn't recognize your order ID... Can you post a screenshot of your confirmation e-mail, with the naughty bits blanked out? Thanks, Steve |

I think we've done our best to get to the bottom of this issue. I'm going to ask someone over here if they can rouse somebody at e-Sellerate to help you out, because I think we're out of options over here.
I really appreciate your patience. I promise we'll get this resolved somehow! I apologize as well, but unfortunately, the support for the licensing programs is handled by the two licensing companies (e-License for PC and e-Sellerate for Mac), and we're limited into how much support we can give. You know, I never saw that until just now.
It's amazing what one can miss in window mode. OK, problem solved! |
