Problem with Post Season Stats
Have any of you had this problem?
A month or two ago, I posted this problem with the POST SEASON STATS on the Tech Forum and battists said he could not recreate the problem. On the REGULAR SEASON and POST SEASON League Schedule, it shows the final score of a game, but it doesn't list the players who hit home runs in the games. It shows "HR - NONE", even though there were several homers hit in the game. This is not random, it happens every time, in every game in the regular season and post season. And in the POST SEASON Box Scores in the BATTING section, it doesn't give the POST SEASON accumulated totals for doubles, triples and home runs...only "0" is listed, when it should give the total number for the post season. Nor does it show Home Run and RBI totals for the POST SEASON on the right hand side of each team's lineup in the final boxscore. It only gives "0" in each of those areas. Also, in the POST SEASON Box Scores, the pitchers' ERAs are "0.00" and the Won-Lost record is "0-0" During the regular season the game has the correct totals for all of the above...except on the LEAGUE SCHEDULE screen...it does not list the Home Runs hit in the game...only "HR - NONE". I haven't seen this, everything looks fine in my leagues.

Eugene
I checked an online league during playoffs and the in game scores had homeruns listed. I could not check box scores in this one. I'm close to the playoffs in a solo league. I'll check boxscores for you then.

I just created a new league, simmed through the postseason and both the boxscores and the schedule page come up the way it should be, listing the proper stats & totals.
I have no clue why it shouldn't work on your PC Eugene ![]() |

I am glad that it is no bug or problem. Must be my computer. I'll uninstall and download it again and see if it clears it up. Thanks again to all of you who replied. |

I uninstalled and reinstalled the game...same thing happened when I created my league.
However, prior to creating my league, I ran the MAL league created by the game and everything worked properly. Bewildering. My league is two subleagues, 5 divisions with 6 teams each...no minors...on financials. It is a far simpler league than the MAL, which must have 15 leagues and 100 teams. Any suggestions would be sincerely apppreciated. Last edited by Eugene Church; 11-08-2006 at 01:24 AM. |

I am going to set up a league and use the games default settings.
I will only use my league structure and see if the post season stats and the schedule screen are affected and fouled up. If everything works correctly this way, then it might mean that the foul up occurs when I change the default settings. Am I going about this in the right way to figure out the cause of the post season stats problem. I need help from you computer geniuses. |

I just created a league and basically used the default settings.
I did set up the structure the way I wanted...2 subleagues...5 divisions with 6 teams in each. ABSOLUTELY NO PROBLEM THIS TIME !!! This seems to indicate the problem is caused, when I change some of the default settings. My mixture doesn't seem to go well with the game. I am going back and create the original league with the settings I want...and see what happens. Hopefully, it will work...and life will be great again in my fictional world of baseball. |

I set up the league the way I wanted it...that is, I changed some of the default settings to suit my needs.
It fouled up again. Regular Season and Post Season Schedule screen did not have players, who hit home runs in the game. Post Season Box Scores did not accumulate stats in doubles, triples, homers, RBIs...pitchers W-L record and ERA were "0-0" and "0.00". I will try another test league and go back to using almost all of the game's default settings. I can't get this fixed otherwise. Maybe someone from OOTPB can offer some assistance and tell me what is going on. If you give me the option to change settings to fit my league, the game should still operate properly. I can't get it to do it. |

Something is not right. Got some good news. I used almost all of the default settings and got it to work for me. At least now I can play the league. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

This may be a difficult question to completely answer, but which settings did you leave at default that you would have otherwise changed to your league settings? In addition, if you have it noted, what would the league settings have been changed to if you'd done so?

Great News...at least for me. I finally solved the Post Season Stats Problem. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Or at least worked around it. The problem is still there, if you disable some of the default settings...which specific ones, I am not sure. I went back and set up another league and used most of the default settings. This time the Post Season Stats were right and the Home runs were correct on the Regular Season and Post Season League Schedule screen. Here are the changes I made on the successful run...I kept notes. Disabled injuries Set Active Roster to 23 Disabled Expanded Roster size Disabled Secondary (40-man) Roster size Disabled Spring Training Set schedule at 150 games Set Foreigners Percentage to zero In Strategies I set all of them to the frequency I wanted Set 2B to .9750 in the League Totals Modifiers section Set HR to .9500 Set SO to .9300 Saved it as a template Put my name in as Manager and Commissioner Started Game Changed my Manager settings to stop all messages Why do I change the default settings? When the game gives me a choice and I don't use that feature, I disable it...for instance the scouting system and coaching system...personality ratings...expanded Roster and Secondary Roster sizes...financials. I usually change Stats Details to Low Detail, but left it at Very High Detail. In fact I left all of those defaults enabled that I normally change to see if they were affecting the Post Season Stats...and my problem went away. It seems that they have an unwanted effect on the game...at least in my particular case. It is really strange that no one else had this problem show up. I guess I play the game in a weird fashion...no minors...no financials. |

I'll keep looking at this, Eugene with the hopes of asking enough questions that we might stumble on a solution to get you your universe.

Low details sound good in theory. Who knows what makes the game do this? battists want me to send his a league file that I create where the problem exists and he will analyze it. The good things is that I can do my ultimate universe now that the Post Season Stats and stuff are working properly. I set the league up the way I want it to be. I just didn't disable some of the elements that I don't use. Why disabling some of these elements affect an unrelated part of the game doesn't make much sense to me. But, it works fine now and that is the important thing. |

That is exactly what caused the problem. I ran a test league just to see and in the "low detail" mode, you do not get Post Season stats accumulated or Home Runs shown on the League Schedule screen. I changed it to the "normal detail" mode and it worked fine. Thanks for brainstorming. |
