Why wont this guy go away?
I have a RP who appeared in just 2 games the last week of the season after missing the entire season due to injury. He was paid $3m that season (2006) and then should have became a FA as the contract expired. But, the contract did not expire, and he sits in AAA with a contract status that still reads what it did last year. Why is here? Am I still paying him? What's the deal?!

How young is he? Players with under five full years in often get automatically renewed.

He's a veteran. Mid thirties, without looking. I do not believe he had an option simply because it never signified this in his contract info page. Everyone's contracts read their salaries for the year "2007" while his is still on "2006"

Can you post a screenshot of his player info on the contract & status screen? I would like to see his service time, options, etc.

Here are some instructions put together by Comedian2004. If they don't help, let me know and I can try to explain further.
Go to the screen that you would like a shot of (ex: Lineup screen, player profile, etc.). Hold down the ALT key and then press PRINT SCREEN. Nothing will happen that you can see, but it will copy the screen to the clipboard. Now you can open your favorite paint program (Microsoft Paint) and paste it in there using the edit paste or control-v. Now you will want to make the screen shot a little smaller, so it is not as big in disk size, since we are only allowed to post smaller than 100K here. If you do not have any programs to do this, Paint will work fine. You will find it under PROGRAMS - ACCESSORIES. Load it and hit EDIT PASTE and then use the MARQEE to square off the important part of the picture. Select EDIT COPY from the menu and then hit FILE NEW and then EDIT PASTE again. Now you can save this smaller version as a JPG or even a PNG file to post here. Give it a unique name when saving it, as this fancy forum won't let you use the same file name that you used before.

I can't figure out how to get this thing within 100kb and still get it to be big enough so its readable.

Hopefully it will suffice for me to simply tell you that he had no player history except the annual ratings update which occured on 1/31. For the record, the player is Dustin Hermanson. As you may very well be aware, IRL Dustin had his 2007 contract option declined by the White Sox and became a FA. However, Dustin's contract had no option in this game, probably missed by the roster creators. Yet, he still stays with me. If he had an option, it would at the very least list a salary figure for the '2007' season. But, it still lists his 2006 salary.

Sorry it took so long to respond. This one is weird and I can't reproduce it. There must have been something weird going on with the player option since this was a user created set. I am going to close this for now, but if you see it happen again please let me know immediately. Thanks.
