I think we're beyond the expectation that this league should work "normally," so I don't think there's much value in pointing out additional problems experienced in this league.

Something is hosed in this league, which is the root cause of all of the problems you're experiencing. I'm trying to dig into how you set this league up that caused the hosing...

No problem. What I mean is:

1. I generate the Historic League
2. I manually added each minor league to it.

Um, I don't see how. I did what a lot of people will do - generate a historic league, then create their own minors (based on reality).

How do I generate players for all empty slots? Where's the option?

And is there a way to set certain leagues as "quick sim"?

There's an option here:

Game > Game Setup > League Setup > Functions > Fill Teams with Fictional Players

I'm not sure what you mean about "quick sim," but I don't believe there is. Can you describe what you mean?

If you mean having some leagues in a universe quick sim while others don't, I don't think there is a way, since all teams in one universe must remain on the same day. All leagues advance to the next day at the same instant. (No relativity in these universes.)
