Retired players becoming managers

I'm in 1918 of a historical lg. started in 1901,and I was looking at the Manager career history and I noticed C Buck Ewing was now a manager,since 1916. 19 years after he had retired. Anybody else notice any ex-players as managers?

Yep, most recently I've seen: Bruce Bochy (ironicly), and Steve Stone.
