Starting In An Expansion Year
I was thinking of starting a game, controlling the Cubs, in 1977. I believe that's the year the Blue Jays and Mariners started.
So will I be seeing an expansion draft, if I start my game on 1/1/77? Assuming, of course, that I check the correct box in the options.

If you start the game with 1977 rosters, you should just see the Jays and Mariners as they were in 1977 with no expansion draft, since the Lahman DB would just pre-populate them.

If you want to draft the players yourself that happens right after the World Series ends in 76, You need to sim the 76 season then watch for the draft a couple days after the WS, take over the team then.
