Weather/Nations/Cities lunacy

Edit ballparks/weather screen. Drop down nations list under United States the cities are Rio De Janeiro, Brasilia and Sao Paulo. Checked some other countries....... Scotland has one city listed, La Paz!!!! Good fun for a few minutes but is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?

Is this a default setup? Or were you messing around with nations, cities, or weather?

I was doing a spot of ballpark editing ( turf to grass fields and domed to open stadium) and thought about weather factors. Looked on the weather screen and saw the Rio, Brasilia, Sao Paolo listed with United States next to them. Have checked all the other countries and none of the cities match.

If all else fails can I go to the cities file and get the temperature and rainfall information from there?

It would be data\database\weather.txt

You could try this:

1. Back up your league, if it's important to you (always back up )

2. Go into the ballpark editor and select Re-import weather database.

See how that goes.

I'm also curious how this league was created. Was it an imported league? 6.12/6.5 or 2006?

Historical? Fictional?

Just trying to figure out how you ended up with such strange data in the first place.

Interesting.

If you create a new 2007 league and check the weather page, what then? I suspect it will be fine...

I created the simple quick-start league and all the nations/cities seemed fine so I guess it's something to do with a 2006 game import? Will keep an eye out for any other oddities.

Since you're such a pleasant guinea pig to work with (), do you happen to have another 2006 league that you could try to see if behaves the same way?

I think it's a bug, we'll get it logged, I just want to figure out if it's just with this one league, or with all 2006 leagues...

I had hoped to spend the afternoon staring at the little mirror in my cage....however, don't think I have another 2006 league unless the very first quickstart I used is still there. If so I could import it to 2007 and see what happens. Any good?

Sure!

Which reminds me, my sister's birds have taken to staring at a mirror for hours on end, and even feeding the birds they see in the mirror.

I've taken to calling it "BirdCube".

Sorry Steve but I deleted my 2006 test/quickstart leagues. Perhaps other folk who've converted up-and-running leagues to 2007 will have some information. Sorry to have failed as a small rodent mammal(Cavia Cobaya).
