Minor league expansion problem
Perhaps that's not worded properly.
I tried an historical league once in OOTP2006 using the arod database. What frustrated me and caused me to abort the experiment after only two or three simmed years was the fact that the database didn't have enough rookies to fill up the minors. So one had to create fictional players and then either manipulate them to all be terrifically weak so as to never make the majors or else put up with a mixed historical/fictional league. Neither option appeals to me. Will I have to do the same thing with OOTP2007? Does it matter which database I use? Or are there other solutions that I am not yet aware of? |

There is no Database of Minor League Players.
You don't have to have full rosters in the minors in 2007 (or 6.5 and earlier), so you don't have to have fake players, although you could use fakes but not allow them in the majors (there is a setting for this) Some have created Roster Sets with full Minors, but that is for 1 season.

sounds good
So let me get it straight. In OOTP2007, the game will proceed without a problem even if my AA team (for example) only has 12 guys and no pitchers?
This was the major problem with running an historical league in OOTP2006 - pretty soon the minors are empty and the game starts interrupting play insisting that they have a minimum compliment of players, including a minimum number of starting pitchers. OOTP2007 won't do this? |

Ghost players were in the previous versions (OOTP5-6.5) but disapeared in OOTP06. They've returned, so their is no annoying roster size messages.
