Lefty throwing 2B, 3B, SS

Of the 130 or so infielders in the free agent pool of the game I'm currently looking at that can play one of the above listed positions, there are four that are listed as throwing left-handed.

I know it's only cosmetic, but lefty-throwing infielders not at 1B are extremely scarce at any organized level (far, far less than 3%), and this should be reflected in the game.

As always, 2.0.0.37 PC version, have saved games, repeatable. Can make screen shots, or you can take my word for it.

Do you really think this is a tech support issue? I doubt 4 out of 130 players happening to be left handed is a bug. And with 4 out of 130, you say it should be far, far less than 3%... but there's not much farther down from 4 you can go. So there should be 2? Even 1? 3 extra players being left handed really isn't an issue is it?
I just see that as being uber-ultra-super-duper nit-picky. But, it's your game, play it your way. Just my , which is worth far less than that.

I'm curious if this is a fictional league and if this is before any games have been played? Once games start being played any player can be taught different positions. Do any of these lefites also have 1B as a learned position?

It's fictional. 10 years of games have been quick simmed.

One player has 1B as a listed position; he's a "1" (out of 10) there. His ratings at 2B/3B/SS are 4/4/2. His history doesn't show any learned positions; how can I tell otherwise?

One is a 6 at 3B and a 3 at SS.

One is 10/10/10. I wonder how he does it.

And the last one is part of one of the other bugs I reported in that he doesn't have a rating at 3B, and yet that is his listed position. He's rated at all three outfield positions.

It's a fair issue. To me, far less would be one player every 20-30 years, and even that might be excessive. The only time you see a lefty at one of them is in an emergency situation. You'd have to go back several decades to find the last left-handed major leaguer to play at one of those positions regularly. I think the last lefty to start at one of those positions was Don Mattingly for two games in 1986.

Do any of these players make it to the Major League level. I know we talked about it some in beta, but determined since it was pretty rare and none of those that were lefty made it into the majors that it wasn't a problem. If people see this as that much of a problem I can TT it and Markus can take a look at it.

There seems to be something to your first point. Of the four offenders, two briefly made it to the bigs (where they weren't very good hitters), and the two haven't and probably never will.
