Team Abbreviations
I'm running a historical league and using the Lahman Database. The teams are given some quirky abbreviations (Montreal - ML4). Everytime I try to change them to what they actually are in MLB, they stay for the remainder of the current season but when a new season starts, the abbreviations change back to what they were before. Is this a possible bug?

Nope, this had to do with Lahman. Those are the abbreviations used in Lahman.

Is it possible for me to go into the Lahman database and changed the abbreviations without screwing everything up as far as league expansion and realignment, player imports, and team name changes?

Personally, I'd just say get used to the Lahman abbreviations. Yes, they're not the greatest, but it's easier in the long run to just get used to using them than it is to mess around changing abbreviations. I know that in my case I eventually got used to the abbreviations Lahman uses, though it did take some time.
