Clarification on FA Compensation
Can anyone help me out on this. I wanna help out here, but i am not exactly sure how.
Clarification on FA Compensation -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ive read the game guide on FA compensation, but some questions still arose. im hoping someone can help clear them up... - How does FA compensation work if draft pick trades are enabled? for example, team 1 and team 2 make a trade, with team 2 sending its first round pick to team 1. during the offseason, team 2 signs a type A FA from team 3. team 2 would then need to send its 1st round pick to team 3, but its already been traded to team 1. does the pick get taken from team 1 and given to team 3, or does team 3 get screwed? - what happens if a team signs more than 1 type A or type B FA in the same offseason? Any other insight would be helpful if i missed an important question, just trying to figure out which direction my leagues should take. Thanks! |

FA compensation isn't working right now or I'd test it and find out.
From what was said at one point, but what's said and what's real is two different things, if a team has already lost or traded his #1 pick, the team would get his #2 pick... in the case of a type A. If he's lost or given the #2 he'd lose the #3 to that team etc... Just conjecture at this point... if I think of it I'll test it out and post back when FA compensation is made to work.

Tysok, you get this figured out? I always thought that if it was a type A then the team would lose #1. If they then got another type A, they'd lose nothing because they already lost their #1. I may be wrong, but thought that's how it worked. Also, teams 1-15 in the draft order can't lose their #1 picks.

The problem that I have noticed is that a FA is listed as requiring no compensation for me to sign him, then after he has a contract I get an e-mail from the Commissioner's Office, telling me that I now owe someone else my #1 draft pick! Talk about sneaky . . . ![]() |

It's claimed fixed. I haven't even opened the game in a while. Something happened and it resorts the roster section of the lineup screen after each simmed day, as well as other times that have been mentioned... this made the way I play take about twice as long to play through a year as before so I've been fairly bummed out. If I get a chance this weekend I'll check this TT in another league and see if it's fixed and if so what happens.
