Waivers

I'm running a historical sim (start 1962) I have waivers on (3 days) but when I import the new players (no draft) it seems they're all marked as on the 40 man and the AI then puts a lot of guys on waivers. I don't want to take advantage of than, but I also don't want a bunch of guys changing teams unnecessarily.

Is there a best time to turn waivers off, then on to keep it most accurate? Jan 1 to opening day maybe?

Given the outcome you are looking for the best times to De-Waiver OOTP appear to be

Jan 1 through Opening Day plus two weeks and
Sept callups date through Dec 31...

Many histerical simmers prefer to just leave waivering off completely.
